Please make sure your child completes each home link that reinforces what was done in class. If your child has difficulty on the home link, please star the problem. Homework should be done by the student.

In Everyday Math some topics are introduced to students to expose them to that topic or concept. These topics are skills that will be retaught and reinforced in future lessons, units and grades. Part B of each assessment assesses the students on the these topics that will be reinforced in the future.
Otter Creek
Each day the stuents work on Otter Creek. This is a program designed to help children master their Math facts. A fact is mastered when it can be answered instantly, without any pause. The program allows each child to go at his or her own pace. Students are given an opportunity daily to show they have learned a set of facts by passing its test. If the goal is not met the student takes home that day's practice sheet. It is recommended that students practice that sheet for five minutes.
We will begin with addition.
