Math: Practice counting, estimation, measurment and problem solving skills through your daily activities.
Reading: Read to your child everyday and talk about the book you read. Ask your child to retell the story back to you (including what happened in the beginning, middle, and end). Ask your child to name the characters in the story.
Some other questions you may ask your child while reading a story: What do you think will happen next? How would you feel if this happenend to you? What does this story remind you of?
Writing: Have your child draw and write stories, lists, notes, letters to friends and relatives, etc. (please do not spell for your child. You can help your child to stretch out the words). Encourage their creativitiy by not correcting their kindergarten (phonetic) spelling.
Other: Practice daily life skills. Some skills to practice are: tying shoes, zipping and buttoning.
